Teton Multimedia Clients

Teton Multimedia has a diverse set of both Internet and multimedia clients. With our combined technical expertise and creative passion, we can handle projects that are scientific, business-oriented, or just pure fun. Some of our recent work is outlined below.

Web

AMS Samplers Inc.

AMS Soil Sampling Equipment Because of its unique and extensive set of products, AMS Samplers Inc. had struggled for several years to display their products and information online, so they turned to TMM for help. The result is an easy-to-navigate product catalog that mimics their hardcopy catalog, with accompanying PDF and video library. The catalog and library content are managed through an easy-to-use management interface. Server-side programming uses ColdFusion and SQL-Server, and includes real-time shipping calculations from UPS.

Washington State Potato Commission

When the Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) needed a searchable document library that their office staff could manage without knowing anything about the web, they turned to TMM for help. The library is programmed using ColdFusion and SQL-Server, and it accommodates many types of documents and photos.

The website also has a mangement interface that lets the WSPC staff manage much of the website content without assistance. This includes news releases, educational material, employment opportunities, photos, recipes, etc. The server automatically re-sizes photos to fit the desired footprint in the website, and a thumbnail is created where appropriate.

This work expanded to include website design and programming for the Washington Potato Conference. This website provides information and publicity for Washington State's annual potato conference. (Love the "iconic" potato design.)

Magnus Backstedt - Pro Cyclist

www.MagnusBackstedt.com
A series of fortunate events connected Teton Multimedia with pro bicyclist Magnus Backstedt for a website facelift. The website includes an online catalog with payments via PayPal and subscription service for continuous coffee supply.

Optimal Solutions, Inc.

When Optimal Solutions, Inc. needed a professional "facelift" for their website, they turned to Teton Multimedia for assistance. After only a few hours of introductory instruction from Optimal's staff, TMM was able to complete the website with very little additional supervision. This included a tutorial of Optimal's computational fluid dynamics software. This project demonstrates that TMM can handle very technical subject matter without being a burden to the client.

Juniper Tree Investments

Financial Planning Juniper Tree Investments offers financial planning advice, with a hardcopy newsletter and other perks for website members. The website focuses on general financial advice, retirement goals, and health issues. Memberships are funded via PayPal, with "Instant Payment Notification" that automates the signup/payment process.

Snake River School District

The Snake River School District website helps the school district communicate with staff, students, their families, and the district in general. It has a management interface that lets district staff manage the lunch menu, calendar of events, etc. In addition to being a communication tool, it also reduces costs by reducing or eliminating the need for hard-copy printing of many documents, newsletters, and announcements. TMM also hosts teacher-designed websites created in Dreamweaver.

Evan P. Cook

Teton Multimedia has designed and programmed many real estate-related websites. Evan Cook's is a good example. It includes a management interface that lets Mr. Cook and his staff update their properties for sale, including photos and virtual tours. It includes automated server-side photo processing that re-sizes photos as appropriate to the website footprint, and it creates a thumbnail for each property. The management interface is easy-to-use and lets Mr. Cook focus on his task of selling real estate.

The Paris

TheParis.biz works in tandem with an Ebay Store. It augments the Ebay Store's inventory, and it provides resources used in the Ebay Store the reduce various Ebay-related costs. It includes a complete shopping cart with inventory management tools, and payments processed via PayPal. The Paris subsequently closed their brick and mortar store and now sells only via the Internet.

Redwing Boots and Outdoor Gear

Footwear Outfitters
Redwing of Idaho is similar to The Paris website. It includes a complete shopping cart with inventory management tools, payments processed via PayPal, and various Ebay conveniences. It also includes UPS integration.

INEEL: Boron-Neutron Capture Therapy

This multimedia CD-ROM showcases the SERA (Simulation Environment for Radiotherapy Applications) software

Boron-Neutron capture
therapy CD-ROM label.
developed by the INEEL and Montana State University. It describes the software in layman's terms, targeting approximately the tenth grade level.

As with most product demonstrations developed by Teton Multimedia, this CD was produced with minimum supervision from the client. This left their staff free to perform their regular tasks, rather than "babysit" the multimedia production. This even included an elementary illustration of Monte-Carlo methods applied to the scattering and absorption of neutrons diffusing through cancerous tissue.

Screen capture of
skull "slices" generated
by SERA.
Chromosomes and atomic particles were "created" using a 3D modeling program. Various animations kept the discussion lively and engaging, with humor injected where appropriate. All voice-overs were recorded by Teton Multimedia in the TMM studio.

The resulting presentation can run "on its own," or a presenter can follow along and pause the presentation to field questions.

Performance Consulting Services, Inc.

Sensor Validation Software Demo

Performance Consulting Services' "Advanced Calibration Monitor" (ACM) software is used primarily in the electricity generation industry to ensure efficient power plant operation.

CD-ROM insert.
It continually monitors instrument behavior, detects drifting or failed intruments, and provides "replacement" values to help the power plant continue to operate efficiently even after important instruments have failed. Efficiency is particularly important to electric utilities, since reduced efficiency means higher fuel cost and lower net income.

Teton Multimedia created a marketing CD-ROM for the ACM software. Again, this CD was designed and programmed with very little supervision from the client, and demonstrates TMM's ability to handle very technical subject matter. The CD was sent to prospective clients around the world, reducing the client's travel expenses and driving product sales.

MeltTran, Inc.

Electric Arc Melting System Demo

This marketing CD demonstrates MeltTran's High-Voltage Electric

CD-ROM insert.
Arc Melting System. The melting system uses electricity to melt various types of waste, and subsequently converts them into a stable ceramic. The system can digest almost any type of material, from paper, to concrete and steel drums.

For this demo, MeltTran shot the video footage using a combination of standard video equipment, an auto-darkening high-temperature video camera, and a pin-hole lense that tapped directly into the melting pot.

Teton Multimedia distilled this information into a concise product demo. TMM created graphics, recorded "realistic" sounds form an arc welder, designed the general story flow, and added the voice-over.

The resulting CD-ROM demo was also recorded to video tape in both PAL and VHS formats. The demo was sent to clients around the globe, eliminating costly marketing trips and driving product sales.

Tautphaus Park Zoo

Edutainment CD

This CD highlights the animals at the Tautphaus Park Zoo in Idaho Falls.

CD-ROM insert.
Teton Multimedia was responsible for the entire production and programming, including videography, video editing, sound recording, graphic design, storyboard, detailed essays, printing, and a good quantity of patience standing in the rain. Animals include exotic birds, leaping lemurs, lions and tigers, and even an attack emu. Teton Multimedia subsequently installed an auto-running kiosk in the zoo gift shop, advertising the CD for sale.
